Job summary

BankUnited is seeking a construction loan administrator to manage the processing, administration, and servicing of construction and related loans in a dynamic portfolio. Responsibilities include budgeting, change orders, retainage, and funding advances after credit approval.

You will coordinate with borrowers, inspection firms, and the Credit Department, and prepare advance packages with backup for accuracy and compliance across diverse loan types including SBA, conventional, and syndicated

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from two-year College or technical school or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years related experience in investor reporting, accounting, syndicated loan experience, construction loan experience, loan administration-related loan documentation and closing experience or related relevant activity and experience.
• 1–3 years SBA construction-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administration and Servicing of Construction/Renovation related loans.
• Serve as liaison for Borrower, Third Party Inspection firm and internal Credit Department for all requests.
• Receipt of advance requests from borrower and coordination of inspection, when required.
• Track compliance with budgets, retainage, liens, and title continuations; review percentages and completion dates.
• Monitor insurance requirements and ensure compliance across loan portfolio.
• Collaborate with Commercial Loan Servicing and Credit Department to finalize funding packages.
