Job summary

Regions in Hoover, Alabama is seeking a Credit Products Construction Loan Monitoring Analyst to manage risk across commercial construction loan projects throughout the Bank’s footprint.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with three years of real estate underwriting or related banking experience, or a high school diploma with seven years of experience. Onsite work is four days per week at Hoover AL, Atlanta GA, or Charlotte NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of previous real estate underwriting, construction loan disbursement, loan fulfillment, or related commercial banking experience
• Or High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of previous real estate underwriting, construction loan disbursement, loan fulfillment, or related commercial banking experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and highly organized with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Reviews construction contracts and related documents to ensure policy compliance and identify issues
• Reviews underwriting-approved construction loan requirements with field teams to ensure adherence to policies
• Serves as a subject matter expert for the field on commercial construction projects
• Coordinates with Credit Products and Loan Fulfillment to obtain, review, and approve preliminary documentation prior to closing
• Evaluates and approves draw requests with proper documentation per policy
• Maintains sources and uses worksheets reflecting a balanced budget and change orders
• Reconciles contractor draw requests with available loan funds
• Partners with lenders on agent and non-agent projects
• Mentors new construction loan monitoring analysts
