Job summary

You will review and draft contracts, provide strategic counsel to clients, prepare legal documents, and represent clients through negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings. California licensure is required. Strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and CA bar in good standing.
• 5–10 years of litigation and dispute resolution experience.
• Specialization in construction law strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of labor law, contracts, building codes, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review, modify, and create construction contracts, government contracts, and contractor agreements.
• Provide legal counsel by analyzing client situations and determining a strategy.
• Prepare legal documents: correspondence, motions, pleadings, briefs, claims.
• Resolve construction claims and disputes to avoid litigation where possible.
• Mediate, negotiate, arbitrate, litigate, and argue motions in court.
• Supervise administrative staff and paralegals; manage client billing and case wrap-up.
