Clark Construction in New Haven, CT is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field operations, manage both self-performed and contracted work, and ensure projects meet safety, quality, and schedule targets. You will drive planning, sequence work, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver on time and on budget.

The role requires 7+ years in large-scale commercial construction, a related degree, and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects as a construction manager or superintendent.
• Experience working in medical office, medical research/laboratory, hospital, and university settings.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality installation of contracted work for total project or specific scope.
• Instill safety and quality culture and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality of work aligned with project standards and budgets.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule with milestones.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing team.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and represent the company professionally.
• Understand owner/subcontract/vend(or) agreements and KPI basics.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and training.
• Recruit and retain top industry talent for Clark team.
