Job Title: Entry-Level Cable Technician

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay rate: $22-24/HR

Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking Entry Level Cable Technicians for a long-term opportunity to assist with the installation, termination, and testing of various voice and data cables.

The ideal candidate will work under general supervision, maintaining a highly analytical and problem-solving mindset while being a team player. Candidates will gain experience in running, testing, and terminating low voltage equipment for large data center projects.

Technicians should have exposure to working with cables such as CAT-5e, CAT-6, and fiber optic cables (single & multi-mode). Cable installation tasks include pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling. Knowledge of telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV security, access control, and wireless solutions is a plus. BICSI certification (current or past) is advantageous but not required. We seek individuals attentive to detail and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting with pulling and installation of new fiber and CAT6 cables in a new construction environment.
• Installing cable support structures such as fiber trays, cable trays, and ladder racks.
• Performing manual labor, including moving boxes and materials around the job site.
• Following directions and demonstrating willingness to learn.
• Having prior experience in commercial new construction.
• Working effectively with a large team.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms (boom and/or scissor lifts).
• Capable of lifting 50-75 lbs.
• Willing to obtain OSHA10 construction certification if not already certified.
• Willing to work Monday through Saturday as needed.
