Job description

E2 Optics needs 40 cable helpers/construction laborers/technicians for a data center project in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Our job is to install the cabling and infrastructure that runs the hardware inside the data center.
We have to physically pull each cable from point A to point B.
We have to label each cable to know what they are/what they do/where they go.
We have to bundle the cables together in neat bundles and Velcro them together. Often times we will have to comb the cables – just like using a comb for your hair but for cables. This ensures that the cables are nice and neat and all going the same direction.
We have to test and certify the cables to ensure that they’re working correctly.
We have to install the racks and the infrastructure that holds the equipment.
We have to install the equipment that holds the cables above the racks – this is called ladder rack, cable trough, and fiber tray.

Starting: ASAP

Duration: Contract to perm

Shift: Day work - working Monday - Friday 5 x 10 hour days.
Potential to work OT on Saturdays.

SOW: Structured cabling in a new construction data center environment.

Looking for candidates that have a positive mindset, good work ethic, and willingness to be at work every single day. Attitude is huge for them, as well as attendance. They have little patience for people that have poor attendance.

Prior data center infrastructure experience is a major plus, and any low voltage experience is also a major plus.

Must be comfortable with both inside and outside work.

Pay rate: $18-20/HR - starting pay for totally green candidates.
Can pay higher for people with actual commercial low voltage experience.

OSHA10: Must have OSHA 10 or obtain one via Anistar.

Tools: Must have all of their cabling hand tools and tool pouch.
