Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Laborer-Construction to join its team along the East Coast. The role emphasizes safety, hands-on construction labor, and learning blasting operations in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety procedures, learning from foremen, and performing labor tasks such as loading materials, assisting with blasting activities, and maintaining a clean job site. Starting pay is $21 per hour with a weekly travel allowance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be safety minded and able to work in varying weather environments.
• Able to follow instructions from Supervisors and Foremen.
• Willing to travel out of town and work overtime as needed.
• Must pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
• Criminal background check for ATF is required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company safety procedures and policies.
• Submit accurate and signed time cards weekly.
• Learn safety aspects of working on construction sites and around explosives.
• Take direction and perform laboring activities as assigned.
• Work unsupervised when required.
• Load and unload explosives from trucks; pump blast holes with water.
• Carry stemming stone and maintain a clean, organized job site.
• Participate in safety meetings and job briefings; perform other duties as assigned.
