Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Laborer-Construction. You will follow safety procedures, assist with blasting and construction tasks, and learn on-the-job under supervision.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour plus a $150 weekly travel allowance. Benefits include health plan, life insurance, 401(k) with ESOP, PTO, overtime, paid training, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass criminal background check for ATF.
• Experience in construction laborer is helpful but not required.
• Must have own transportation.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
• Submit weekly records to Blaster/Foreman: Time Card, etc.
• Learn safety aspects of working construction sites and around explosives
• Take direction and perform construction laboring activities
• Work unsupervised occasionally
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump
• Load and unload explosives from truck
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes
• Maintain clean and organized job site
• Participate in monthly Foreman, safety and job meetings
• Participate in daily safety meetings
• Other duties as assigned
