Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Winchester, VA is hiring a Laborer-Construction. The role supports safety-focused construction work, including handling explosives under supervision, with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must successfully pass criminal background check for ATF (as applicable).
• Experience with construction laborer is helpful but not necessary.
• Ability to learn and develop skills to perform higher level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
• Submit weekly time card accurately and signed
• Learn safety aspects of construction sites and working around explosives
• Take direction and perform construction laboring activities
• Work unsupervised occasionally
• Load and unload explosives from truck
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes
• Maintain clean and organized job site
• Participate in foreman safety meetings and daily heads-up inspections
• Other duties as assigned
