Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, seeks a Construction Laborer to perform varied duties on construction and paving projects. Work includes shoveling, raking, wheelbarrow use, and assisting crew members, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You may operate basic tools and assist with traffic control tasks on site. The role requires listening to Foreman instructions, ability to work in diverse weather, and attendance at scheduled times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous related experience in construction field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe procedures.
• Assist crew with shoveling, raking, wheelbarrow work and paving tasks.
• Signal operators to facilitate alignment and movement of equipment.
• Follow Foreman’s daily task directions for each project.
• May operate small power tools such as a jack hammer.
• Digs, spreads, and levels construction materials.
• Lifts and carries materials, tools, and supplies.
• Assist with placing, moving and dismantling signs and traffic control devices.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
