Job summary

Matrix Project Services seeks a hardworking laborer to support our construction crew in California. You will assist with material handling, tool distribution, and basic site duties under supervision, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and require occasional overtime. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and comply with safety and ethics standards.

Qualifications

• Background in construction or fabrication shop is an asset.
• Forklift experience is highly preferred.
• Must be willing to work frequent overtime.
• Must communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights (ladders, scaffolding, aerial platforms).
• Able to push, pull, lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Safety-sensitive role with compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew in construction duties as directed.
• Handle, retrieve, and store materials, tools, and equipment.
• Uncrate equipment and parts and use hand tools as needed.
• Move materials and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Identify and address safety hazards in the work area.
• Operate hand tools and support equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work with supervision to gain construction experience.
