Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking an entry-level construction support role to assist foremen and skilled craft workers in performing assigned duties under close supervision. This position is designed as the first step to learn a construction trade.

Responsibilities include digging, material handling, tool maintenance, and assisting with pipe work and concrete, asphalt, and other materials. Candidates should be prepared for outdoor, physically demanding work and must comply with safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake.
• Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools.
• Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe.
• Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe.
• Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe.
