Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Laborer-Construction to join our field crews across the east coast. This role requires safety-minded individuals who can work in varying weather and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, assisting with blasting operations, loading materials, and maintaining a clean site. Starting pay is $18.00-$20.00 per hour plus a $150 weekly travel allowance, with potential increases as you train.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record and own transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass criminal background check for ATF.
• Experience with construction laborer helpful, but not required.
• Ability to learn and develop skills to perform higher level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies.
• Submit weekly time cards accurately and signed to Blaster/Foreman.
• Learn safety aspects of construction sites and around explosives.
• Take direction and perform laboring activities.
• Work unsupervised occasionally.
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump.
• Load and unload explosives from truck.
• Carry stemming stone to stem blast holes.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Participate in safety meetings and job meetings as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
