Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Laborer-Con Construction to support field operations along the east coast. The role emphasizes safety, ability to follow directions, and hands-on learning in blasting and construction tasks.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour plus a $150 weekly travel allowance, with pay increases as you train and hit target deliverables. Company benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability, and two retirement plans including ESOP and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license with a good driving record and own transportation.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
• Criminal background check for ATF required.
• Experience as a construction laborer is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills for higher level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company safety procedures and policies.
• Submit time cards to Blaster/Foreman weekly with accuracy and signature.
• Learn safety aspects of working construction sites and around explosives.
• Take direction and perform general laboring activities as assigned.
• Work unsupervised occasionally when required.
• Pump blast holes dry with a water pump.
• Load and unload explosives from trucks.
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Participate in monthly foreman, safety, and job meetings as needed.
• Participate in daily head\'s up safety meetings.
