Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Laborer-Construction to perform job-specific tasks under supervision, with safety as a core requirement. Travel and overtime may be required and training is provided.

Responsibilities include handling time records, learning safety around construction sites and explosives, and performing labor tasks with or without supervision, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient job site."

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record and own transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must successfully pass criminal background check for ATF.
• Experience with construction laborer is helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn and develop skills to perform higher level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Submit records to Blaster/Foreman weekly: accurate and signed time card.
• Learn safety aspects of working construction sites and around explosives.
• Take direction and perform laboring activities.
• Work unsupervised occasionally.
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump.
• Load and unload explosives from trucks.
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes.
• Maintain clean and organized job site.
• Attend monthly foreman, safety, and job meetings as needed.
• Participate in daily safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
