Job summary

Precision Blasting, LLC, a division of Maine Drilling & Blasting, is hiring a Laborer-Construction in Carrollton, GA. You will perform general construction labor, learn safety procedures, and support foremen on blasting-related site work.

Travel and overtime may be required, with paid training and opportunities for growth within the company. Benefits include health and life insurance, 401(k) with ESOP, PTO, and progressive pay with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and own transportation.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass criminal background check for ATF.
• Willing to travel to northern divisions for 6-8 weeks for training (paid).
• Experience with construction laborer helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn and develop skills to perform higher level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies.
• Submit weekly: time card, accurate and signed.
• Learn safety aspects of construction sites and handling explosives.
• Take direction and perform laboring activities.
• Work unsupervised occasionally.
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump.
• Load and unload explosives from truck.
• Carry stemming stone to blast holes.
• Maintain clean and organized job site.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and daily head’s-up meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
