Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking farm labor help to support a solar-driven farming operation. Duties include disassembling, relocating irrigation equipment, and maintaining water levels for migratory waterfowl. You will work with forklifts, irrigation gear, and tractors, among other equipment.

Requirements include one month of recent verifiable experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and valid driving eligibility. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, with weekly transport to stores for groceries.

Job description

A significant portion of our farm is going into solar farming. Once we find out which acres this fall, we will be disassembling, relocating, and reassembling irrigation equipment such as pumps, tanks, motors, and pivots from the solar acres to either new acres or to storage. We also have contracts in place to maintain water levels for migrating waterfowl on the farm. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as:

• attach/detach implements
• clean work areas
• load and unload materials and commodities
• operate self propelled machinery
• repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures
• use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools

Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed:

• forklift
• irrigation equipment
• pickups
• cars
• etc
• self-propelled machinery
• semi trucks
• tractor/trailer combinations
• tractors

Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 1 months

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
