Aerotek in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking dedicated individuals for a 1st shift production assembler. You will perform assembly and finishing along a production line, and operate forklifts to move materials around the facility.

You will follow blueprints or assembly specifications, use hand tools, and position components for fabrication. This contract-to-hire role offers onsite work and full benefits after eligibility.

Job description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team on the 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm) from Monday to Friday to support the Assembly department. This role involves performing assembly and finishing along a production line, operating industrial trucks or tractors to move materials around various locations, and following blueprints or assembly specifications to fabricate product portions.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and finishing tasks along a production line.
• Operate industrial trucks or tractors to move materials.
• Follow blueprints or assembly specifications for product fabrication.
• Use screwdrivers, pliers, and special tools to position and hold parts during assembly.
• Attach or affix pre-manufactured components and parts.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from transport vehicles.
• Drill holes for screws or operate machinery.
• Operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams, hoists, and elevating platforms.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets and secure materials for transport.
• Plan the assembly process before building an assembly line.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to use power tools such as grinders, impact guns, and circle saws.
• Capability of heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Some painting experience for touch-up work.
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
