Job summary

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative in Bowling Green, VA seeks a Storekeeper to receive, disburse and control stock for line construction and maintenance. You’ll ensure security of the main office, warehouse, and storage areas while supporting inventory accuracy and safety standards.

You will use staking sheets, inventory software, and MS Office to maintain stock levels, conduct annual inventories, perform packing and shipping tasks, and operate forklifts and other equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with supply chain concepts and inventory best practices.
• Experience with staking sheets and material records preferred.
• Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects; able to work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Receive, issue and sale of materials and supplies.
• List materials on issue sheets from staking sheets for construction crews.
• Maintain normal stock list and required supplies.
• Work with inventory software and PCs.
• Annual inventory; packing, crating and wrapping outgoing shipments.
• Operate forklift, backhoe, trailers and other equipment as needed.
• Pickup/deliver materials to other warehouses, including IOU.
• Other duties as assigned.
