Job summary

The Tepa Companies in San Antonio, TX offers a 12-week paid Construction Intern program. The internship provides exposure to field execution, estimating, scheduling, bid packages, RFIs, and submittals, with supervision from seasoned construction managers.

You will observe and assist with project activities, budgeting, safety enforcement, and meetings, while developing leadership and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Within 2 years of graduation (rising junior/senior).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with field execution support of construction projects.
• Assisting with estimating, scheduling, developing bid packages, issuing RFIs, and coordination of submittals.
• Observing and supervising construction activities.
• Assisting with project close out activities.
• Learn about the Support of our Field Staff.
• Interacting with design professionals and construction management teams.
• Assisting with tracking and forecasting project budgets.
• Assisting with safety enforcement.
• Organizing and attending project meetings.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Construction Intern has exposure to and opportunities to work in a variety of construction management areas. This role works in an incredibly fast-moving business and has the opportunity to make valuable contributions.

The Tepa Companies 2027 Intern Program is a paid opportunity for the duration of 12 weeks. Depending on your workload and school schedule, the work schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week in the San Antonio, TX office location.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
• Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
