Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc., CRH subsidiary, offers a Construction/Road Intern position for the summer. You will gain hands-on experience across paving installation, project management, and quality control, rotating through different teams and sites.

You will work with experienced professionals, participate in safety measures, and collaborate on real-world projects, with opportunities to travel to Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The program emphasizes mentorship and growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a college degree program.
• Able to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including nights or weekends.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Paving Installation: Work with paving crews to understand the entire asphalt installation process, from project layout to completion. You'll assess safety hazards, estimate project costs, and understand customer service principles.
• Construction Operations: Collaborate with construction teams to learn how projects are planned and executed. You'll work closely with subcontractors, manage equipment, and participate in safety measures. Additionally, you'll gain insight into the billing and payment processes, as well as project bidding.
• Support Tasks: Assist with manual labor, hand tools, directing traffic at construction sites, and potentially operating equipment.
