Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an undergraduate intern to gain hands-on experience in the construction field. You will assist project teams on tasks from bidding to final completion, with assignments at both the office and job site.

Housing may be provided in certain situations, and relocation to remote sites may be required. You will learn the engineering and technical aspects of projects in the field and office, gaining exposure to quantity take-off, layout, RFI reviews, and

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student seeking hands-on construction experience.
• Willing to relocate to remote sites if required.
• Available for 10–14 weeks, full-time (40 hrs/week).
• Transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-off and layout.
• Review RFIs and maintain logs.
• Coordinate with owners, architects & subcontractors.
• Attend weekly progress & coordination meetings.
• Assist with estimating, budgets and value engineering.
• Assist with permits, scheduling and project closeout.
