Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an undergraduate intern to gain hands-on experience in construction, from bidding through final completion. Assignments include office and job site work, with potential relocation to a remote site.

You will assist project teams, learn engineering and technical aspects in both the field and office, and participate in coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors along with bid support and document review.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students pursuing hands-on construction field experience.
• Assist project teams across bidding to final completion.
• Assignments include office and job site; relocation to a remote site may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learn engineering and technical aspects of the project in field and office.
• Assist with quantity take-off, layout, surveys, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals and logs.
• Coordinate with owner, architect and subcontractors; attend progress meetings.
• Support during the bid process and review of construction documents and revisions.
