Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in Lexington, KY is seeking an undergraduate Construction Intern (Finance) to gain hands-on experience supporting project teams from bidding through final completion.

You will work on office and job-site assignments, with potential relocation to remote sites; transportation required; 10-12 week program at 40 hours per week. Housing may be provided in certain situations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
• Familiar with Primavera and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams in managing construction projects from bidding to final completion.
• Learn quantity take-off, layout, preconstruction surveys, and shop drawing review.
• Review and maintain logs for submittals, RFIs, and cost/schedule-related documents.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors and attend weekly progress meetings.
• Assist with reviewing construction documents, specifications, and revisions.
