Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in the United States seeks an undergraduate construction intern to gain hands-on experience across bidding through project completion. You'll work on office and field tasks on a 10–12 week, 40-hour week schedule, with potential housing in certain situations and possible relocation to remote sites.

Reporting to project managers or engineers, you'll assist with quantity take-off, layout, RFI reviews, subcontractor coordination, meetings, and document control

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students in construction seeking hands-on experience.
• Willing to assist project teams from bidding to final completion.
• Relocation to a remote site may be required in some assignments.
• Transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-off, layout, and log maintenance.
• Review submittals, RFIs and facilitate log upkeep.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers and attend progress meetings.
• Support project management tasks including cost, scheduling and safety.
