Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in Lexington, KY seeks an undergraduate intern to support project teams from bidding through completion. The role includes office and job-site work with possible relocation to remote sites and occasional housing assistance.

You will learn engineering and technical aspects on the field and in the office, assisting with quantity take-off, layout, submittals, RFIs, and coordination among stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students seeking hands-on practical experience in construction.
• Pursuing a BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• Relocation to remote sites may be required; housing may be provided in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams in managing construction projects from bidding to completion.
• Perform quantity take-off, layout, and review of shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors; attend progress meetings.
• Assist with cost estimates, schedules, and budgeting activities.
