Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Construction Intern to gain hands-on learning in cost estimating, planning and scheduling, materials procurement, and cost control. You will rotate through Expeditor, Assistant Project Manager, and Assistant Construction Superintendent roles to build broad exposure to project execution.

The role emphasizes organization, safety, and timely communication with project teams, with opportunities to contribute across site work and documentation management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate from college/technical school preferred.
• Significant general construction and carpentry experience preferred.
• Experience in documentation and cost tracking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers and superintendents as required.
• Assist in servicing equipment and tools.
• Keep construction sites clean and organized inside and outside.
• Support coordination and safety on project sites.
• Attend weekly construction meetings and provide updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Organize and track project files, drawings, materials, and correspondence.
• Deliver project status updates and reports throughout all phases.
• Track project expenditures, approvals, and payment reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Construction Intern will participate in various hands-on practical learning experiences both in the office and on physical job sites.
