Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. in the Boston area seeks an Assistant Vice President within Arch Construction to lead technical underwriting and account management of Middle Market construction casualty programs.

You will head underwriter tasks, identify exposures, price and present quotes, coordinate account activity, manage renewals, and develop agency relationships to drive profitable growth. The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration with risk engineering and claims, and

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of casualty underwriting experience with construction underwriting preferred.
• Established broker relationships in the region are ideal.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPCU/CRIS designation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Technical Underwriting: review, price and prepare casualty quotes based on risk characteristics.
• Account Management: manage pre-renewal reviews and renewal processes to meet retention and rate goals.
• Sales & Marketing: develop and maintain agency relationships to generate submissions and grow business.
• Administrative: ensure underwriting/documentation accuracy and complete ad hoc projects for efficiency.
