Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is hiring a Construction Inspector II in the Transportation & Public Works Department. You will review plans, oversee utilities, storm drainage, concrete and asphalt projects, and ensure compliance with TMUTCD, TCEQ, and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of construction inspection experience involving public works, storm drainage systems, and structures.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass HPE and a Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work quality and materials on public works projects to ensure compliance.
• Perform preliminary and final inspections and recommend acceptance of developments.
• Coordinate change orders and advise contractors of changes in plans and specs.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Interact with contractors, the public, and City staff with strong communication.
