This entry-level position supports the Capital Investment Program by applying basic skills in procedures, operations techniques, tools, materials, and equipment related to public works construction, inspection, fabrication inspection, and materials sampling and testing. Knowledge of basic construction means, methods, quality assurance, and safety practices is required.
As a Construction Inspector I (civil or structural disciplines), you will perform entry-level duties including applying your knowledge of construction procedures, safety practices, and materials testing across Southern California's infrastructure projects.
Schedule: 5 Days / 8 hours, Monday - Friday.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant heavy construction experience in a journey-level craft (civil, structural, or mechanical), or in construction materials sampling/testing or fabrication inspection/testing as per applicable codes and standards. General heavy construction experience may substitute for specific craft experience.
Relevant Experience: Heavy construction in a journey-level craft (civil, structural, or mechanical).
License: Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent, allowing you to drive during employment.
