Job summary

EXP Services Inc. invites you to join our construction inspection team in West Virginia. You will monitor highway projects, review plans, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on site.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Civil Engineering or related field, 1–3 years of inspection experience, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel. WVDOH certification or ability to obtain within six months is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years in construction inspection or QC.
• Knowledge of construction materials and regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• WVDOH certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure plans, specs and regulations are met.
• Monitor progress and document findings through reports and field notes.
• Identify safety concerns or deviations from project requirements.
• Perform material testing and verify compliance with specifications.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and federal codes and environmental regs.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers and project managers to address issues.
• Review blueprints and contract documents to confirm alignment.
• Inspect grading, drainage, concrete, asphalt, utilities and structures.
• Document daily activities, weather, and site challenges.
• Participate in progress meetings and suggest quality improvements.
