Job Description:

Parsons is seeking talented Construction Coordinators/Construction Inspectors to join our team. In this role, you will support the Giant Mine site with construction-related inspection and coordination activities.

Please note: This posting is for ongoing needs for this role. Responses may be delayed as positions become available.

Must be local or willing to relocate to Yellowknife, NT.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Inspect contractor work, monitoring performance to meet specifications and contract requirements.
• Support and ensure adherence to EHS standards at the site by subcontractors, including safety audits and inspections.
• Oversee and perform site inspections and enforce standards.
• Manage QA/QC of contractor work, ensuring quality control plans are followed, witnessing, verifying, and approving as per Inspection Test Plans (ITP). Coordinate testing with contractors and third-party testing agents.
• Assist Project Manager and Construction Superintendent in delivering scope, schedule, budget, and quality of work packages by subcontractors.
• Monitor, verify, and report daily on contractor activities and progress.
• Review contractor reports and verify accuracy.
• Perform site inspections based on daily and weekly plans to ensure adherence.
• Support quality control assessments and reporting.
• Help resolve issues related to cost, schedule, or quality variances by working with contractors to develop corrective actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, or related field, or a diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Ability to interpret specifications, quality plans, and perform QA functions.
• Experience overseeing multiple contractors' activities.
• Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to maintain contractor compliance with standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Self-sufficient in field environments.
• Proven report and documentation preparation skills.
