Job summary

Urban Engineers is seeking qualified Construction Inspectors in Hartford, CT to join the Construction Inspection Department. The role covers inspection on CTDOT Bridge/Highway and Rail & Facility projects across the region and requires hands-on field work.

The position emphasizes daily reporting, strict adherence to plans, and coordination with clients and contractors. Ongoing training and professional development are offered within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• BS degree in construction or engineering or NICET TC I-II
• 1+ years experience as construction inspector
• ACI Level 1, NETTCP, ATSSA certifications preferred
• Experience on CTDOT projects preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect all construction within project limits to ensure conformance with contract plans and specs.
• Monitor and document work by contractor, subcontractors, utilities, railroads and other entities.
• Interface with inspections staff, client and contractors on all facets of the project.
• Perform daily construction inspections of work activities.
• Complete daily reports, quantity calculations and construction observation reports.
