LiRo-Hill is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for NYS OGS projects in the Albany region. The role covers on-site inspection across multiple trades, ensuring conformance to contracts, quality control, and safety compliance.

Strong communication and leadership are essential for coordinating with clients and subcontractors. Travel may be required, and the ideal candidate will bring OSHA 30 and a proven ability to manage schedules and budgets, delivering reports and facilitating on-site

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years trade experience inspecting large scale building projects valued above $1 Million.
• Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance.
• Strong communications and a collaborative approach with client and contractors.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced construction Inspector for our client fNYS Office of General Services (OGS). OGS has multiple ongoing projects in the Albany region with more on the horizon.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction inspection for multi trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the contract requirements.
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project and coordinate with Regional Code Officer.
• Ensuring that timely decisions are made to keep projects on schedule and within budgeted costs while meeting clients' needs.
• Perform inspections, prepare construction reports, run project meetings and expedite the execution of contracts.
• Maintain a written daily report of project progress, activities performed, contractor's workforce, materials approvals and deliveries and issues on the job site.
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, conduct meetings and communicate with team members in various roles as necessary.
• Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with Regional Safety Manager as needed.
• Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years trade experience in inspecting large scale building construction projects valued above $1Million.
• Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades.
• Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
