Job summary

The LiRo Group in New Jersey is seeking an Inspector to join our team. This position focuses on monitoring schedules and budgets, interfacing with clients and contractors, and ensuring quality control on transportation and other projects.

Candidates should have 5+ years of field inspection experience, OSHA certification, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours. A technical degree is a plus, and you must reside in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field inspection experience or similar in construction.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods and QA/QC processes.
• OSHA certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Must reside in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track project schedule and budget
• Interface with clients/agencies and contractors
• Coordinate and track all project plans and drawings
• Track work progress through daily field reports and photographs

Qualifications

• Experience working on projects for Amtrak, NYC Transit, or transportation a plus
• OSHA certification required
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures
• Ability to maintain field and office records and perform QA/QC inspections
• Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Collaborating with multiple team members
• Physical ability and coordination to safely maneuver around construction sites
• Flexible in working days, nights, and/or weekends
• 5 years + experience
• Must live in New Jersey
• Technical Degree a plus

• We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment
• Compensation: Minimum: $80,000; Maximum: $125,000
• The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate’s qualifications and location.
