Join to apply for the Construction Inspector role at WSP in the U.S.

WSP is a leading engineering firm dedicated to improving infrastructure and developing careers in construction management and inspection. Our local division has grown over 25 years, working on projects like the Missisquoi Bay Bridge, Green Line Extension, and Mount Washington Hotel. We are seeking a Construction Inspector to oversee road, bridge, or related construction projects valued between $1-$50 million. The position can be based in Portland, Augusta, Eliot, ME, Merrimack, NH, or Waterbury, VT.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractor supervisors to monitor daily work.
• Complete daily reports and measure unit price quantities.
• Coordinate or perform material sampling and testing.
• Monitor traffic maintenance.
• Photograph and document daily progress.
• Update red-line drawings using Bluebeam.
• Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s policies.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read plans and specifications or willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license
• Commitment to safety and adherence to policies

Preferred

• Associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Proficiency with MS Word and construction management software like Site, Procore, Bluebeam
• Certifications such as ACI, NETTCP or ability to obtain within 3 months
