Job description

Join to apply for the Construction Inspector role at CONSOR Engineers.

What Your Day Will Look Like:
As a construction inspector, you’ll monitor the contractor’s on-site activities and inspect materials to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents related to excavations, drainage, road surfaces, and structures. You’ll take measurements, report daily production rates, and coordinate work phases with contractors and agency personnel. You will also support documentation development for the final estimate package. The inspector reports to the Project Manager.

What You'll Do:

• Inspect and verify work in progress to ensure compliance with schedule and contract documents.
• Perform complex calculations and measurements using engineering inspection practices.
• Maintain daily reports of activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as needed.

What You'll Need:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of construction inspection experience.
• DOT Certifications in relevant areas.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Obtain necessary certifications and pass qualification tests in a timely manner.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 lbs.
