Job summary

TPD in the United States is hiring Construction Inspectors at multiple levels. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience, a strong work ethic, and NICET certification preference. We offer a creative, flexible, supportive and fun environment.

You will perform daily inspection of roadway, structural, ADA, and traffic signal work, document progress, measure quantities, prepare as-built drawings, and serve as the on-site project representative across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• NICET certification and other credentials are preferred.
• Engineering degree or EIT is advantageous.
• Experience in bridge/roadway projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specs (roadway, structural, ADA, etc.).
• Document on-site observations in daily inspection reports and other required documents.
• Measure and record quantities for payment.
• Prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site project representative.

Our ideal candidate has minimum of 3 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work cohesively within a team, and the ability to work on multiple projects. Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications. Such as Roadway Inspection of earthwork, drainage, paving, etc.; Structural inspection of foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures, etc.; ADA Compliance Inspection of curb ramps and sidewalks, etc.; Traffic Signal Inspections
• Document all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports required
• Measure and record quantities for payment
• Prepare as-built drawings
• Serving as on-site project representative.

Requirements

• At least one or more of the following certifications are preferred: ACI, NJSAT, TCC or CCTC.
• NICET Certification: I-IV is preferred.
• EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus (not required)
• Experience with bridge construction is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
