Pioneer Technical Services, Inc. is currently recruiting for entry-level employees to perform Construction Inspection and Materials Testing in our Montana Geotechnical Laboratory locations. Self-motivated, committed individuals that work without frequent direction will receive competitive benefits with significant career advancement opportunities. The position will generally be 40 hours per week on average with some overtime on an as-needed basis during busy periods. This position will involve field inspection services and geotechnical/materials testing in the laboratory. Field Inspection services include field density testing using nuclear density gauge, fresh grout and concrete sampling, shotcrete testing, and coring. Laboratory testing will include performing Atterbergs, proctors, sieve analysis, and numerous other geotechnical soils testing. Other duties will include data management, equipment maintenance, and sample organization. Project experience in general construction, field density testing, concrete testing, soil sampling, and materials testing as well as experience with Microsoft Word and Excel programs is preferred but not required. Pioneer will provide on-the-job training to perform field testing and laboratory testing tasks. Candidates must have a valid Class D driver's license with no driving restrictions in place. Pioneer has projects through Montana and Idaho, and depending on the assigned office location, significant driving may be required to meet project demands.
Education: High School Diploma. College education preferred, but not required.
Field of Study: Civil/Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, or related/equivalent education or experience.
Computer Skills: Must be able to complete basic computer tasks that include Excel and Microsoft Word.

This position will include working on field/construction sites where you will be exposed to the elements and also includes working within a soils laboratory environment that requires frequent standing and lifting, and the use of a wheelbarrow.
