BD Parata is currently seeking a Field Support Engineer in the Indianapolis, IN regional area. The Field Support Engineer will provide in-depth technical and customer support for BD Parata’s suite of pharmacy automation products. This role involves regional travel to support pharmacies in various environments.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Deliver world-class customer service and problem resolution at client sites.
2. Build positive customer relations by responding supportively and professionally to inquiries and complaints.
3. Ensure customer satisfaction and maximize equipment uptime through maintenance and proactive issue resolution.
4. Instruct customers on the operation and daily maintenance of pharmacy automation products.
5. Respond to service requests within SLA requirements.
6. Collaborate with regional and national service teams to resolve complex issues.
7. Assist with installation of new automation systems as needed.
8. Document issues and resolutions in Salesforce Field Service Lightning.
9. Provide feedback for product and service improvements.
10. Perform work independently with minimal supervision.
11. Maintain a professional appearance and organization of tools and inventory.
12. Report expenses timely via Concur.
13. Be flexible to extend work hours and travel as required.

Skills and Experience :

1. Associates degree in relevant engineering or biomedical technology plus 3-5 years of field service experience, or equivalent experience.
2. Strong motivation for superior customer care.
3. Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
4. Knowledge of basic networking, routers, switches, and XML file editing.
5. Understanding of ghosting and re-imaging processes; SQL knowledge is a plus.
6. Strong mechanical skills and experience with hand tools, multimeters, and testers.

Work Environment and Physical Demands :

1. Work involves outdoor and indoor environments, with long-standing and walking required.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
3. Must be able to stand for extended periods, with travel by car and occasional air travel.
4. Use of ladders and step stools is common.
