Job summary

Hitachi Energy is hiring a Construction HSE Specialist to safeguard people, projects, and the environment across construction operations. You will drive safety culture, lead risk reduction, and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with project teams and field staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 3+ years HSE experience in construction, OSHA 30, and CSP/CIH preferred, with opportunities to train and advance within a global energy leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive HSE experience within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or energy projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and other applicable regulations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• CSP, CIH, or other relevant safety certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve construction HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses while implementing corrective actions.
• Deliver engaging HSE training for employees and contractors on safety, emergency response, PPE, and environmental protection.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, permits, reports, training records, and incident logs.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into all phases of construction activities.
• Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permit conditions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, recognition programs, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
