Job summary

SMS group GmbH is seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to lead HSE programs across multiple construction projects in the United States. You will develop safety plans, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with OSHA and client requirements.

The role emphasizes incident investigations, environmental program management, and coordination with project leadership to drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, EH&S or related field preferred.
• 8+ years HSE experience in construction/heavy industrial environments.
• 5+ years in leadership of HSE programs and personnel.
• Strong technical understanding of construction methods and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE programs across construction and field service projects.
• Develop site-specific safety plans, risk assessments and JHAs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, local, and client requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate environmental programs including waste, stormwater, spill prevention.
