Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Human Resources leader to manage the full employee life cycle across one or more units. This role focuses on recruiting, employee relations, talent management, training, and benefits, in alignment with Turner’s standards.

You will supervise HR Generalists/Administrators, partner with business leaders, and drive initiatives in a large-scale construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited program and minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, plus 3 years supervisory/management experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification or other related certification preferred.
• Construction or large organizational experience preferred.
• Strong business and construction operations understanding.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills at all levels.
• Self-starter with advanced HR systems and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Promote company culture, values, and D&I activities across the organization.
• Advise management on HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Define regional HR goals and recommend improved policies and procedures.
• Provide an exceptional employee experience and support BU leadership on people-related needs.
• Lead Talent Acquisition plans including campus and experienced hires, onboarding, and mobility.
• Oversee recruitment efforts to source and select applicants.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop sourcing strategies and screen candidates.
• Perform initial screening of applicants and candidates.
