Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a General Contracting Foreman in Des Moines, IA. The role involves direct supervision of construction crews, reading blueprints, ensuring safety, and coordinating with other project activities. Heavy physical work and a CDL may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of field experience.
• Apprentice Carpenter or Journeyman Carpenter preferred; valid driver's license, CDL preferred.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for construction/repair.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and mentor junior carpenters.
• Experience with Procore and Outlook a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers.
• Read blueprints to determine construction requirements or plan procedures.
• Inspect work progress, equipment, or sites to verify safety and compliance with specifications.
• Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment.
• Coordinate work activities with other construction project tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
