Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking a Carpenter Foreman in Sioux City, IA to lead interior and exterior carpentry teams on commercial projects. You will ensure safety, scheduling, and quality while coordinating with superintendents and project managers.

This hands-on role emphasizes mentorship, on-site leadership, and efficient crew management. Qualified candidates have 2+ years as a Carpenter Foreman, familiarity with Procore, and ability to handle physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Carpenter Foreman.
• Experience with interior commercial systems and exterior metal stud framing.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for crew safety, performance, productivity and work quality for assigned projects
• Collaborate with superintendent and project manager to coordinate project startup, execution and close out
• Use look-ahead schedules, manpower forecasts and project specs to optimize scheduling of material, manpower and crew mix
• Review drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Direct and assign crew field activities to maximize productivity while maintaining PCG quality and safety standards
• Create and maintain positive relationships with all trades, vendors, coworkers and customers to maximize efficiency
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and documentation
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members, including apprentices and journeymen
