We are hiring for Construction Foreman!

The Construction Foreman plays a pivotal role within the construction sector, functioning as a key leader on building commercial and residential sites. They are primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and within the allocated timeframes and budgets. As the bridge between construction workers and project managers, a Construction Foreman ensures that the team adheres to building codes, plans, and safety regulations, while maintaining the high standards expected within the industry.

Your Impact

As a Foreman, you will supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they perform tasks correctly and promptly. You will plan daily work schedules, project tasks, and resource allocation to ensure project timelines are met. You will review construction plans and specifications to maintain accuracy and quality of work. You will conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety and building regulations. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Training new team members in operational protocols and safety procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders about progress and issues.
  • Resolving on-site issues and making quick decisions to prevent delays.
  • Maintaining detailed records of construction processes, worker attendance, and project costs.

Essential Skills (MUST HAVE)

  • 5+ years of hands-on construction experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, or underground utility projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance.
  • High school diploma or GED; associate's or trade school education is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification (or OSHA 10 minimum).
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam is required.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing schedules and multiple crews.
  • Comfortable with daily reporting, documentation, and communication with project managers.
  • Proficiency with jobsite software and digital reporting tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam).
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues promptly and maintain productivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Dependable, professional, and results-driven.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain a safety-first mindset.

Other Physical Requirements

In addition to lifting when required, the role involves overseeing safety protocols such as:

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Climbing ladders or scaffolds while carrying materials.
  • Working in all weather conditions.
  • Standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Lifting and carrying at least 50 pounds (22.7 kg) frequently.
