The Foreman plays a key operational role, responsible for managing day-to-day field activities, ensuring trade performance, and coordinating job site logistics in alignment with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Foreman to join our growing construction team. This position is vital in managing crews, enforcing site safety, maintaining schedule adherence, and ensuring the quality execution of work. The Foreman acts as the bridge between laborers and site management, providing leadership on the ground and ensuring that each trade executes its scope of work efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Supervision: Direct daily on-site activities, manage labor crews, and provide leadership for tradespeople to maintain workflow, productivity, and safety.
- Work Planning: Review project plans and specifications to organize work sequences and ensure accurate, efficient installation of all work.
- Quality Control: Inspect work-in-progress to ensure it meets company standards and complies with project requirements and regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain strict enforcement of all safety policies and procedures; conduct toolbox talks and report unsafe conditions.
- Schedule Adherence: Coordinate manpower and equipment to meet or exceed the project schedule. Report progress and any delays to the Superintendent.
- Material Management: Track inventory, request materials as needed, and ensure the correct materials are onsite to avoid disruptions.
- Problem Solving: Identify field issues proactively and work with site management to resolve them before they impact the schedule.
- Communication: Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure everyone understands daily goals and project expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain daily reports on crew activities, weather, equipment use, and delays. Report incidents or injuries immediately.
- Team Development: Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of laborers and apprentices, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or Foreman role.
- Solid understanding of construction techniques, safety standards, and job site logistics.
Skills:
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read blueprints and interpret plans/specs.
Certifications:
OSHA 30 required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience on multi-family or commercial job sites.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software or field reporting tools.
- Familiarity with lean construction or continuous improvement practices.

Compensation:
$55,000 - $75,000 base salary. Bonus opportunities available.
