Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a senior finance professional to join the SES business unit's finance team at its Tysons, VA headquarters.

The role focuses on managing finances, project costs, billing, and contract compliance for large multi-year programs, with close collaboration with project leadership. Ideal candidates have extensive construction industry experience, strong Excel skills, and a proven ability to analyze data, prepare projections, and drive month-end processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of construction industry experience
• Experience in construction project estimating
• Experience with Schedule of Values (SOV) invoicing to General Contractors
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail in completing work tasks
• Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills
• Use of accounting principles to solve problems

Responsibilities

• Manage finances, accounting, and contract compliance for large multi-year projects and programs.
• Validate estimated project costs to complete with project leadership.
• Translate scope/schedule changes into budget updates and financial reporting.
• Lead KPI reviews and month-end adjustments with project teams.
• Assist with cost, pricing, and reviews of proposals and change orders.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly billing submissions.
• Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) at award.
• Prepare 36-month revenue and gross profit projections quarterly.
