Aris Amplify is seeking a Controller to act as the financial backbone of the organization, partnering with executive leadership to oversee financial reporting, job costing, project accounting and cash flow management.

The ideal candidate will bring deep construction accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop scalable financial processes and controls to support sustained growth. This role bridges finance with business development and field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Seven to 10 years of accounting leadership experience within the construction industry.
• Deep expertise in job cost accounting, WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Experience with municipal construction billing processes.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly WIP schedules.
• Manage percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Partner with project managers and estimators to monitor budget vs. actual project costs.
• Manage municipal billing, owner draws and retainage tracking.
• Review subcontractor requisitions, lien waivers and insurance compliance.
• Track project change orders and protect project margins.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes.
• Maintain financial reporting in GAAP compliance.
• Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Prepare executive reporting including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis.
