Job summary

Yates Construction in Vernon, TX is seeking an Assistant Superintendent I to support the field leadership on a live project. You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate labor, review contracts, specs and drawings, and help develop scopes of work for subcontractors. You will participate in meetings and track progress on site.

A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred. Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to read blueprints are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Foundational knowledge of construction principles and cost awareness beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with planning manpower and coordinating labor across trades.
• Review project contracts, specifications, and drawings to support field execution.
• Participate in meetings to coordinate work and track progress on site.
• Provide field support to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to schedule.
